When Is Senior Week At Myrtle Beach

is a device that records on paper the heart's electrical activity. Through electrodes placed on the limbs and chest.
The nursing assistant must know to properly position the electrodes patient and performing an electrocardiogram.

Leads:
  • Members: Arms and legs.
  • P recordiales : In the chest.
Physiology of the conduction system:

heart's electrical activity began in the sinus node, located on the upper posterolateral right atrium. (AD )
This impulse desporaliza at 2 atria. In the corresponding EKG the P wave

occur after the contraction of the atria is a slight pause of 1 tenth of a second. The EKG is the space (PQ) .

stimulus arrives then the Atrioventricular Node. Which is located between the atria and ventricles. From here the electrical impulse continues through the ventricles Jis.Con Make right and left branches. Finishing in the Purkinje fibers. Ventricular depolarization starting here. (Contraction)
In the EKG for the complex (QRS) .

After Ventricular contraction is a pause that is represented in the space EKG (ST) .

then occurs repolarization of the ventricles. (Relaxation) This is represented in the EKG T wave .

Note: Relaxation is not reflected Headset why it happens at the same time of ventricular contraction.

Steps to continue to do an electrocardiogram.
  1. Inform the patient of what we do.
  2. Cleaning and disinfecting with alcohol in the areas of electrode placement. Inside of feet and hands with gauze soaked in alcohol.
  3. Patient positioning: We will put in a supine position. With bare chest and ankles. We also remove metal objects.
  4. Avoid using alcohol chest.
  5. If the unit was old (using cups) use a conductive gel in these suckers.
  • Electrocardiogram During the course of the patient should not talk, cough, or move.
Electrode position

There are 12 leads: 6 members and 6 precordial endings.

  • 6 Membership:
  1. AV R : Right Arm. English "Right." AV
  2. L : Left Arm . English "Left." AV
  3. F: Left Foot "is not neutral." English "Foot."
  4. (I) or (DI).
  5. (II) or (D II).
  6. (III) or (D III).

  • Note: the foot neutral ( N) is the "right" side opposite the heart.

  • Einthoven Terminations
R DI = AV-AV L.
D II = AV-AV R F
D III = AV-AV L F

precordial :

C 1 V 1 or = It is in the fourth intercostal space law.
C 2 V 2 or = is in the fourth left intercostal space.
C 3 V 3 or = is between V2 and V 4.
or C 4 V 4 = is on the fifth left intercostal space. In the mid-clavicular line.
or C 5 V 5 = is on the fifth left intercostal space. At the height of the last line of the armpit.
C 6 or V 6 = is on the fifth left intercostal space. In the mid-axillary line.

  • Note: Depending on the brand of "electrical equipment" will come in the precordial electrodes with - C1, C2, C3, C4, C5 C6 and .
-V1, V2, V3, V4, V5 and V6.

Make
now electrocardiogram
In this simulator, the first thing you need is to call the patient, then you must properly place the electrodes in the patient in order to apply an EKG, so you get an EKG, which you must read in less than 10 minutes and establish an accurate diagnosis answering the test. It then calls the next patient and check your final results.
